I'm in a weird place, AKA Mississippi. I'm a Florida girl but I have to live here for the next three years.

I care about the world, particularly its animals.

I live in a culture of self-interest and complacence. I want to be a part of the solution that changes that.

I'm currently earning my Bachelor of Science in environmental biology. I tentatively want to work as a wildlife biologist, but may also pursue a Master of Science in Zoology.

I have four cats and a ferret. I am a crazy cat lady. You have been warned! I also have a husband and yes, he fits into the pet category.

The majority of the day-to-day photos I take (with my phone) are on my Instagram (mzplatypus). It mostly consists of my cats, my ferret, nature, and random things.
